The New York Knicks have started to fill out their training camp roster. Monday saw them hand out a partially-guaranteed deal to Ron Baker -- a.k.a. Ron. Twenty-four hours later, they officially announced the signing of yet another former Knicks Summer Leaguer, J.P. Tokoto:
August 1, 2016 – New York Knickerbockers President Phil Jackson announced today that the team has signed guard J.P. Tokoto.

Knicks announce that they have signed Summer Leaguer J.P. Tokoto. He's likely on a training camp deal that's partially guaranteed.

College hoopniks probably remember Tokoto from his time at North Carolina. The athletic swingman was drafted by the 76ers in the second round in 2015, but never played for them, spending the 2015-16 season in the D-League. He averaged 10.2 points on 40.0% shooting (28.6% from beyond the arc), 4.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 2.0 steals during his time with the Knicks' Summer League squad. He is quite good at the dunking of basketballs.
The Knicks now have 14 players on guaranteed contracts and two more on training camp deals. They can carry a maximum of 20 for camp. Tokoto doesn't have much of a shot of making the big club, but I sure wouldn't mind seeing him in Westchester next season.
