Kids these days have no respect, am I right? That’s what I keep hearing, anyway. Dang millennials, gallivanting about with their Snapchat and their crushing student loan debt, completely oblivious to what makes this country great!
Or are they? Recent evidence from the NBA’s annual rookie survey suggest that the 2016-17 class may actually know what’s going on, as they voted Captain America himself, Carmelo Anthony, second among their favorite players:
The top 5, per John Schuhmann:
1. Kevin Durant, Golden State -- 29.7%
T-2. Carmelo Anthony, New York -- 9.4%
LeBron James, Cleveland -- 9.4%
Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City -- 9.4%
T-5. LaMarcus Aldridge, San Antonio -- 6.3%
Kobe Bryant (retired) -- 6.3%
That’s just responsible citizenship right there. Melo is tied with LeBron James and Russell Westbrook, but he holds the tiebreaker based on gold medals and this:

Forget all this Colin Kaepernick national anthem protest mess: What kind of point are kids trying to prove about this country by voting for LaMarcus Aldridge? I guess Aaron Burr wasn’t on the ballot.
Anyway, I’m proud of you, 9.4 percent of NBA rookies. You know what’s up.
