Rapper/"Degrassi" alum Drake is rather notorious for shifting allegiances in his basketball fandom. Though he may be intimately involved with the Toronto Raptors, you just knew he wasn't going to headline a show at Madison Square Garden without invoking the name of at least one member of the New York Knicks.
Ever the entertainer, Drake brought out new point guard Derrick Rose and his very adorable son, P.J.
The video is a bit underwhelming at first, but it ends on a high note as P.J. cheerfully skips off stage.
Drake posted a nice photo of the father-son duo on his official Instagram account:
As they are wont to do, the local fans serenaded Rose with chants of "M-V-P!" Rose may not be at that level any more, but I must say it's kind of weird for fans to chant that a Knick who has actually won an MVP award. We've come a long way from Jimmermania.
