We’re close to the season, folks. How close? The new guys are picking out uniform numbers.
May I present to you Messrs. Willy Hernangomez, Mindaugas Kuzminskas and Justin Holiday:

Willy took the sacred No. 14 of Anthony Mason. Hopefully he can wash off the stink of the previous wearer, Jason Smith. Holiday takes over the No. 8 for one of the dudes he was traded for, Robin Lopez. Hopefully he plays so well that we’ll some day think of this as a Lopez-for-Holiday deal.
As for Yung Mindy, he chose 91 because it’s the inverse of his favorite number, 19. A gentleman by the name of Willis Reed wore it previously for the Knicks; you can see it hanging in the MSG rafters. He’ll be the first player to wear the No. 91 for New York.
To celebrate their 70th anniversary, the Knicks will bring back the Hardwood Classic uniforms they haven’t worn since ... last season. Whatever, bruh, they still look cool as hell.
Did you see our Hardwood Classic jersey for this year? #NYK70 pic.twitter.com/OYMXCfzTVi

I only wish they came with the belts. Basketball players need belts.
