The 2016-17 Knicks by the (uniform) numbers

The 2016-17 New York Knicks are more than just collection of names on the back of jerseys ... they are also a collection of numbers. And here are those numbers:

Some thoughts:

  • I’m happy to see Maurice Ndour taking on Langston Galloway’s old number. Hopefully he continues the tradition of undrafted dudes who turn into instant contributors.
  • Ron Baker. Number 31. 3-1. 3 letters in “Ron”, 1 Ron on the Knicks.
  • I feel like it’s not out of the realm of possibility that the Knicks tossed Jerian Grant into the already lopsided Derrick Rose-Robin Lopez trade because Joakim Noah has always worn 13 and they’d have a better chance of signing him if that number was vacant. I’m not saying that’s what happened, but it seems like something they would do.

Let’s check out some of the Knicks rocking their new duds. Here we have No. 8, Justin Holiday:

Big No. 14, Willy Hernangomez was hamming it up for the cameras:

Here we have Mindaugas Kuzminskas looking quite dashing with the No. 91:

Brandon Jennings is ... doing something:

No ... too sexy! Ah, but I must!

Finally, we end with the best photos of the day: Willy and Kristaps Porzingis, friends forever.

Go Knicks.
