Veteran big man Joakim Noah missed Media Day and the first day of practice, leading to cries of “GLORY BOY” and “DIVA”, mostly from me while I browsed Twitter in my underwear, eating Goldfish crackers. But the former Bull had a wonderful reason to delay his trip to Knicks camp:
Noah says he had a daughter yesterday. That's why he missed first day of practice. Pretty good reason to miss it, I think.

Sure, Noah gets to miss practice to be with his wife and daughter, but Seth won’t even give me the afternoon off after I make myself sick from eating too many Goldfish crackers. Double-standard!
Papa Jo returned to action with a vengeance, even though he still shoots a jumper that can only be described as “jazz-handsy”:

Intrepid P&T commenter “jrtallent” made turned the photo into a new NBA logo:
In his first training camp press conference, Noah was asked about comments made by Bulls owner Jerry Reinsdorf that the organization no longer considered a “frontline center”. Noah took the high road, but he seemed wounded by the statement from his former boss. Per Marc Berman:
“He’s entitled to his opinion,’’ Noah said. “I feel I have no regrets about my time in Chicago. I gave it everything I had. To me that’s all that matters. I did everything I could for that organization. I thought it was a little bit of a low blow, but at the end of the day I have nothing but respect for that organization. I’m just excited for this new chapter of my career.”
Here’s hoping that new chapter includes a ton of victories over Reinsdorf and his precious Bulls.
