Let’s welcome Willy Hernangomez and Mindaugas Kuzminskas to America

You’re Americans now, and Melo is your new father.

Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe Knicks.

A pair of European rookies, Mindaugas Kuzminskas and Willy Hernangomez, have recently made their way to America to begin preparations for the 2016-17 season. Fortunately for us, these new Knicks have taken time to chronicle their respective journeys to the New World.

Let’s begin with Kuzminskas, who has been living it up ever since he left his native Lithuania. He flew his dog to New York first-class, and let his girlfriend tag along as well:

Bringing one’s dog over for the regular season is an absolute necessity —- you can’t play your best ball while constantly fretting about your puppy back in Lithuania. I applaud the Kuzminskas family for making the right decision.

Since his arrival, Kuzia has been Instagramming American flags, which is phenomenal way of getting real ‘Muricans on your side:

He also visited Times Square — a right of passage for all foreigners visiting New York, one that is best gotten out of the way as soon as possible.

Now he is free to go visit the good sights!

But it’s not all fun and games for young Kuzminskas; he’s here on business. He seemed quite pleased to attend his first voluntary practice as a Knick:

And then we have Willy, looking fresh in his new orange and blue duds:

He has a built-in advantage, as his good buddy Kristaps Porzingis is already and established member of the team, ready to show him the ropes:

Welcome to America, my friends!
