The New York Knicks practiced Saturday as they prepare for yet another back-to-back (damn, do they have a lot of back-to-backs this month). Kristaps Porzingis was limited in practice as he recovers from a sore Achilles. He probably won’t play Sunday against Toronto.
Kristaps Porzingis was limited in practice today (sore left Achillies). He's questionable for tomorrow's game against Toronto.

Kristaps Porzingis said of playing tomorrow, "probably not", because he sat out of the contact portion of practice.

If Kristaps is saying he probably isn’t playing, I’d put the odds of the Knicks holding him out of the game at roughly 130%.

As for Derrick Rose, he’s in high spirits now that his mother and brother have joined him in New York, per Michael Lee:
“Being able to talk with her, laugh with her … In my family, I’m kind of like the jokester in my house, even though that might sound strange. I’m the one that’s always telling jokes and I’m getting all of the attention. So just to have them around, being in a new city, showing them around the city, it’s all love.”
This is great to hear...not for any basketball reason, but just in general. Rose was clearly going through some personal stuff — as we all do — and there’s nothing better during those times than the presence of family. He’s also been pretty terrific in his two games back, so by all means stay awhile, Rose family!
Melo joined Brandon Jennings local boy Kyle O’Quinn at St. Raymond’s High School in the Bronx to catch a game, which is pretty damn cool:

Let’s end with a dazzling Mindaugas Kuzminskas smile:
