Knicks 117, Celtics 106: Scenes from New York’s bench pummeling Boston until I cried tears of joy

It was so beautiful.

NBA: New York Knicks at Boston Celtics David Butler II-USA TODAY Sports

The New York Knicks beat the Celtics.

In Boston.

Without Kristaps Porzingis and Joakim Noah.

With Carmelo Anthony (13 points on 5-14 shooting) as their fourth-leading scorer.

My soul is still absorbing the majesty

The ‘Bockers out-rebounded Boston 57-33 thanks to standout glass-cleaning performances from the likes of Willy Hernangomez (17 points, 11 rebounds), Derrick Rose (30 points, 10 rebounds) and Courtney Lee (9 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists!!! zero turnovers!!!!). Mindaugas Kuzminskas and Justin Holiday were awesome, as was Marshall Plumlee. This game was friggin’ bonkers.

Willy Hernangomez enjoys playing the Celtics, and I enjoy watching him play the Celtics.

Watch the young Spaniard cook Al Horford with a sublime move:

Yung Cheesy is still sporting a shiner from Monday’s game, but he hit back at Boston to the tune of 17 points.

But nobody was as all-around effective as Courtney Lee, who excelled in his second game coming off the bench.

Recap to come. Roll this game up and smoke it.
