Westchester Knicks guard Chasson Randle is set to work out with the Philadelphia 76ers Sunday, according to Marc Berman, though Philly reporter Keith Pompey has Randle’s workout scheduled for Monday:
PGS Chassan Randle, Briante’ Weber, Yogi Ferrell and Cat Barber are all scheduled to work out for #Sixers Monday, according to source.

The Sixers appear to be all-in on acquiring a point guard — particularly one with some scoring chops. Fortunately for Knicks fans, Randle doesn’t appear to be at the top of their list, despite the workout:

NateRob! The highlight of his career (in my opinion, at least) will always be his game-winning buzzer-beater over Allen Iverson, so it would be fitting for him to finish his career with the Sixers.
As for Randle, this comes at a interesting time, both for him and for the Knicks’ organization. Ron Baker’s contract just became fully guaranteed, and there was freakin’ way they were cutting him loose after what he’s done of late. The Zen Brain Trust would have to cut either Maurice Ndour and Marshall Plumlee to make room for Randle, but both of those dudes looked more impressive than Randle in their recent stints in Westchester:
The truth is that, outside of one scalding-hot weekend in December, Randle hasn’t played particularly well for the W-Knicks. He’s shooting just north of 40% from three, but he’s also averaging more turnovers than assists. I like Randle, and I hope he stays in Westchester, but he has yet to prove himself worthy of an NBA contract. Here’s hoping the Sixers pass on him (and sign Nasty Nate, which would be pretty dame entertaining).
