Wassup in Westchester: Damyean Dotson returns to G-League action

D-Dot back.

NBA: New York Knicks at Chicago Bulls Mike DiNovo-USA TODAY Sports

The Westchester Knicks lost to the Wisconsin Herd, 123-117, on Saturday night. But honestly I don’t even care about that, because Luke Kornet shot 16 three-point attempts! Hell yes!

The W-Knicks took 52 three-point attempts as a team, which is ridiculously awesome and something I wish the big club (dead last in the NBA in three-point attempts per game) would emulate.

Damyean Dotson (big Knick): 19 points on 7-14 shooting (3-9 from three), 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals

Dear G-League audio-visual department: If a kid from the big club comes comes down to Westchester and plays even moderately well, please give him a highlight package. Thank you.

Luke Kornet (two-way contract): 31 points on 10-22 shooting (5-16 from three!!!), 4 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocks

My man! Kornet struggled from distance in the second half, but when you have a 7-footer who can jack threes, you let him jack some mother-trucking threes!

Trey Burke (affiliate player): 32 points on 10-20 shooting (5-12 from three), 4 assists, 2 steals

Only 12 three-point attempts? Slacker.

The W-Knicks are now 14-8 on the season.
