The James Dolan-Charles Oakley feud will consume us all. A normal person would have been content to downplay the arrest of the Knicks legend during Wednesday’s game at Madison Square Garden. Not our man JD. He doubled, tripled and quadrupled-down on his feud with Oak, kinda-sorta banning him for life. And in case the extent of MSG’s pettiness wasn’t already clear, Dolan hosted a parade of ex-Knicks during Sunday afternoon’s Knicks-Spurs tilt.
The former Knicks in attendance included: Latrell Sprewell, Bill Bradley, Bernard King, Larry Johnson (who works for the Knicks), Gerald Wilkins, Kenny Walker, Herb Williams (longtime MSG staffer whom Dolan has probably fitted with a wire), John Wallace, and Vin Baker. Dolan was flanked by LJ, Bernard and Spree, who apparently squashed his own longtime beef with the owner to make this moment happen.

Very subtle, guys. Fans haven’t seen Spree at the Garden and quite some time. This should be a truly wonderful moment. But these are the Knicks, and the Knicks don’t do truly wonderful moments.
