Team World defeated the hated Team USA in Friday night’s Rising Stars Challenge, 150-141.
Kristaps Porzingis, who started for The World, scored 24 points on a tidy 11-16 shooting to go along with 10 rebounds and 2 assists.

Kristaps lost out on the MVP award to Canadian Jamal Murray, but I’m going to use my blogger powers to strip the award from Murray, as he played for the international team despite the fact that Canada isn’t really a foreign country. So congratulations on your award, Kristaps!
Willy Hernangomez only scored two points on 1-1 shooting, but that one shot was a doozy:

If you look up “sneaky athleticism” in the dictionary you’ll find a picture of young Willy.
Kristaps, who was on the losing side in the 2016 Rising Stars Challenge, was happy to get the win this time around: “I know what type of game it’s going to be, but this year I wanted to win.” A true Knick takes his wins wherever he can find them.
