[blows into conch shell]
TRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADE RUMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRS
Chatter of a deal involving Knicks point guard Derrick Rose and/or Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio lit up the Internetting Tuesday, with pretty much every writer of repute weighing in.
David Aldridge said Wolves coach/GM Tom Thibodeau was working hard to get back his former player.
Wolves’ pursuit of Derrick Rose still very strong—“Thibs wants to do this,” says league source w/knowledge—but MIN absolutely keeping Dunn.

Kris Dunn was Minnesota’s first-round pick last summer, and nobody expected him to be included in any trade, so whatever, bruh!
ESPN’s Marc Stein mentioned in a Zach Lowe podcast that he believes a Rose with Minnesota deal is going to happen:

As for the prospect of including Rubio in the deal, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst believes the Wolves are more focused on dumping Rubio’s three-year deal than they are about acquiring Rose:
“If this trade went down, and it’s a big if, this would not be to invest in Derrick Rose at all. Derrick Rose would simply satisfy the NBA trade rules. The trade would be to get rid of Ricky Rubio, forget about how (Rose would) fit. That’s not why the Wolves would be doing the trade.”
The mad bomber himself, Adrian Wojnarowski reported on a Facebook Live session that the Knicks are just looking to dump Rose:
Woj says Knicks aren't too concerned about their return for Rose, just want him traded.

So the Wolves want to dump Rubio and the Knicks want to dump Rose. I’m scared, folks. Please don’t do anything stupid, Knicks.
