Let’s all watch the most important game of the Knicks’ season: UCLA vs. Kentucky

One of these guys could end up a Knick!

NCAA Basketball: NCAA Tournament-South Regional Practice Jim Brown-USA TODAY Sports

Hey there, friends. It’s an exciting time to be a Knicks fan, as the UCLA Bruins (Lonzo Ball) get set to take on the Kentucky Wildcats (De’Aaron Fox, Malik Monk). There’s a good chance at least one of them will still be available when the Knicks pick.

When was the last time we as Knicks fans got to watch such an exciting contest even tangentially related to the orange and blue? This matchup is so big, it even comes with its own dumb New York tabloid controversy. -Gasp- Did you know Phil Jackson decided to skip the game to attend Shaquille O’Neal’s statue unveiling? General manager Steve Mills will be in attendance, however. Friend of the site Kristian Winfield really summed up my own feelings as to why Phil skipping a college game to honor his former player is NOT a controversy, even by dumb Knicks scandal standards. Is it a pheromone thing — does Phil need to catch a whiff of each player’s musk in a big game?

The game tips off at 9:39 PM on CBS. Let’s hope everyone stays healthy.
