Yo, what the hell was that game? The Knicks were well on their way to another comfortable 20-point loss in San Antonio when Willy Hernangomez and Derrick Rose absolutely caught fire. Big Willy Style scored 13 points in the third quarter as the Knicks stomped the Spurs, 31-17.

Suddenly a massive Spurs lead was down to as few as 4 points. Was it a fake comeback? Absolutely. But for one brief, shining moment Willy stared down the likes of LaMarcus Aldridge, Pau Gasol and Kawhi Leonard and freakin’ dominated. A career-high 24 points to go along with 13 rebounds for Mr. Hernangomez.
Oh, and the Knicks also got legitimately good minutes out of...Maurice Ndour?

Ndour started the second half in place of Kristaps Porzingis, who was plagued with his usual foul trouble. And he did some good things, especially on defense. It was 2015 Summer League all over again!
Oh, and of course Mindaugas Kuzminskas dropped a tidy 19 points on San Antonio.

I wasn’t planning on writing a recap until midway through the third quarter. I still might not writer a recap. Who the hell knows? Rest well, my darlings. Something will be written about this game tomorrow, I can promise you that.
