This Week in Knicks Social Media: Comings and Goings and Goings and Comings

And always too soon

Nothing lasts forever, even cold November rain endless February slumps and electrifyingly erratic point guards. The trade deadline came and went without a whimper but even so, one man was lost and one was gained in the shortest month.

Brandon Jennings now gets to wear the glorious #OAKAAK title and get a nice little picture of himself in Knicks uniform on the visitor’s locker room whenever he plays at MSG. Oh, and he’ll be playing in the postseason too.

Just before he left us, BJ (I can call you that, can’t I Brandon? After all we’ve been through?) received what was to be a bittersweet promotional gift, harking back to happier days of togetherness:

@timexsports @timex thank you. @marshallplumlee40 we on!!! Yea!!!

but then mere days later the watches meant that it was time to say goodbye (*ducks fruit, apologizes*)

@timex Yea! (Lil Wayne voice)

Fare thee well, Brandon, and I look forward to seeing you torch the Knicks for 40 on April 6, your first time back to the Garden. And, let’s be honest, every subsequent visit. FARTDOG!

But with every departure there is an arrival, and what an arrival indeed! Behold Chasson Randle, in his first (admittedly generic) post as a Knick:

Welcome Chase! Please write funny comments for your teammates please! We need more of that.

Young Marshall Plumlee went through his own travails, henceforth to be known as the PlUber Incident**. It begins, presumably in Philly:

Marshall is persistent but humble
The replies are clearly Not Satisfactory

then the wild card... Someone else is riveted by the saga... From stage left Sasha Vujacic, maybe actually concerned? But probably not. I get the feeling Sasha is a bit of a caution.

And the final, somewhat unexplained conclusion:

Prayer hands indeed.

**Marshall has deleted all but the final tweet in this sequence & Sasha his. I don’t know why, seems innocuous enough. We’re here for ya, MP! Uber is shady!

Sasha is pretty busy between his workouts and his rookie razzing of Mindaugas Kuzminskas.

Hey bro @mkuzminskas "facial time", maybe? good to be back #nekotoodgorevidisve #knicks : @tommyzweibel

A post shared by Sasha Vujacic (@sashavujacic) on

OF COURSE Kuz is ready with a quick reply burn:

And some sass of his own for Derrick Rose:

Even Derrick is smiling after the WIN

(now I’m singing “a Kuz from a Rose” in my head.)

However, if you want to mess with Kuz a little, I think his girlfriend just gave us a little ammunition:

That’s right: “White Shadow.” (Insert crying face emoji here)

In case you were wondering (you weren’t), Kuz isn’t the only knick with a modelesque girlfriend on IG. The normally reticent Joakim Noah joined the all-Star Break beach trend a little late:

He’s French, you know.

To pull everything back together, we have some excellent family shots. International Superstar Ron Baker dined with his aunts & uncles (apparently he has many):

Marshall dined with his brother, a lesser Plumlee:

Happy birthday @masonplumlee always hungry never satisfied

and Willy Hernangomez shared an ice bucket with his brother, a unicorn:

Brother connection @kporzee #knicks #NewYork #Twins #NYC

and then everyone joined in to wish Kiyan Anthony (all-Star 2027) happy 10th birthday.

Happy Birthday Kiyan !! Love you boy !! #MyBoys #DontGetCaughtLooking #NoSelfServeBabyTap

(Make sure to click through both pictures because...?)

Happy birthday Kiyan! They grow up so soon.
