The NBA Draft Combine is just around the corner (May 16), and this weekend the league released its list of invitees. The biggest news — as always — is Lonzo Ball, who ended up being the one big-name American prospect to turn down an invite. But there are some other things of note, particularly for Knicks fans.
- French point guard (and favorite of us Euro-centric draftniks) Frank Ntilikina will not participate, as he is still playing in season for his club, Strasbourg.
- Pretty much none of the potential lottery picks will be participating in the 5-on-5 drills, of course. Standard operating procedure.
- Some second-round prospects that have been linked to the Knicks, who have the No. 45 and 58 picks, in previous mock drafts will participate: Dwayne Bacon (Florida State), Frank Mason (Kansas), Wesley Iwundu (Kansas State).
Check out the complete list over at DraftExpress. Is your favorite second-round prospect involved? How much more can the Ball family sabotage a kid’s reputation? Draft stuff, baby!
