I had been meaning to get to this before I was interrupted by news of the Jackson-Porzingis summit, but the Knicks have officially released their schedule for the 2017 Summer League in Orlando. Yep, they’re staying away from Vegas once again—the team president has repeatedly stated that he doesn’t like the place.

Anyway, here’s the low-down on Orlando...

Summer league schedule is out! Swipe for dates and mark your ! #Knicks

The opener is at 3 PM on Saturday, July 1, against the Mavericks. There will be an absurd amount of pressure (for Summer League, anyway) on whomever the Knicks pick at No. 8 overall in the draft, as he will be up against the No. 9 overall pick. Can you imagine how the press will react if the Knicks choose Frank Ntilikina and he gets dominated by the Mavs and No. 9 pick Dennis Smith Jr., or vice-versa? It’ll be bad take Armageddon.

Other games:

  • Sunday, 7/2 vs. the Pistons
  • Monday, 7/3 vs. the Thunder
  • Wednesday, 7/5 vs. the Magic

New York should be rolling out three newly drafted players if all goes according to plan. It should make for a hell of a show.
