Fans of the New York Knicks will have to wait a bit longer to watch the team’s first-round pick, Frank Ntilikina, play his first game in the orange and blue. The young Frenchman has been ruled out of Saturday’s Orlando Summer League opener with a bruised knee.

Frankie Ntillmatic suffered the injury last weekend when he banged knees with an opponent in his final game for the French Pro A club Strasbourg. He has been extremely limited in practice this week, though he still sounds optimistic.

“It’s a little bit better,’’ Ntilikina said to Marc Berman. “I got some shots early in the morning today. So I’m feeling good so far. Yeah I’m excited [for my debut].’’

Here is Frank, getting up a few of said shots.

The Frank-less Knicks will take on the Dallas Mavericks Saturday at 3 PM EST. Dallas didn’t send their first-round pick, Dennis Smith Jr., to Orlando. They already hella scurrrred of Frank and his colossal squid arms.

The Knicks will play again on Sunday, and I would guess they’ll hold Frank out of that game as well, just to be on the safe side. Until he takes the court, get ready for the Ognjen Jaramaz revolution.
