Kyrie Irving wants a trade; Knicks are on his list of preferred teams

Whoa boy!

NBA: New York Knicks at Cleveland Cavaliers Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

Just another boring day in the NBA, am I right folks?

Yes, Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving has demanded a trade and broken the heart of this generation’s finest player. LeBron James needs to be consoled. He needs a friend. Does anybody know if one of LeBron’s friends might be available to head on over to Cleveland and make him feel better?

Ah, but the Knicks-Kyrie connection can’t extend much beyond the fact that Carmelo Anthony is the best friend of the player who essentially runs Cleveland, can it? Perhaps...for you see, Irving is also interested in playing for the Knicks.

The always hustlin’ Ian Begley has already contacted SOURCES within New York’s front office, and you probably won’t like what they’re saying.

The Knicks, obviously, have strong interest in Kyrie Irving (just like 29 other teams) but I'm told people in the Knicks front office would not be willing at this point to include Kristaps Porzingis in a trade. Some with the organization would be willing to include future first-round picks and Carmelo Anthony in a deal for Irving, per league sources.

Picks? Plural? That’s hella scary. Kyrie Irving is an extremely polarizing player, but even his staunchest supporters among Knicks fans must shudder at the thought of trading multiple picks.

If you’re looking for good news, James Dolan has been out of the picture of late.

Please stay out on tour, Jimmy D. Please don’t screw up, Scott Perry!
