Welcome, friends! Hope you guys are enjoying your Tuesdays.
Aquí hay algo de música para escuchar:
Don’t be mad ’cause Kristaps doin’ him better than you doin’ you
— Our boy Kristaps is blowing up lately. He’s just a few days away from repping/carrying his country in Eurobasket, and today it was announced that he will be the coverboy of NBA 2K18(’s companion app MyNBA2K):
Proud to announce I'll be donning the cover of this year’s @MyNBA2K app for @NBA2K! MyNBA is back & bigger than ever! pic.twitter.com/R3KjxzyE5I
— Kristaps Porzingis (@kporzee) August 29, 2017
The app is kind of neat, for those that have never played it. It allows you to earn currency for in the actual game, and you collect basketball player “cards” and battle them like Pokemon. So, hey, good for KP! Today the companion app, tomorrow the game.
— We’ve finally got some footage of Frank Ntilikina playing against NBA players! Frankie joined Tim Hardaway Jr. and Carmelo Anthony in a little training sesh:
Frank’s handle looks pretty tight! I just wish Chris Brickley could start recording with a better camera, and maybe fix the lighting in his gym. I demand high production values!
(Bonus points if you can spot Chris Smith in there.)
— Derrick Rose says his most confusing and crazy moments with the Knicks were on the court, not off it:
"On the court was when it was the craziest to me," Rose told the Associated Press. "Some of the strategies and all that, I didn't understand. It was confusing. It was just a learning experience."
Okie doke, Derrick.
— Isiah Thomas doesn’t think that Phil Jackson’s tenure with the Knicks was a failure. I mean, I guess he is the foremost authority on being a failure as a Knicks executive, so I’ll take him at his word.
— In former Knick (coach) news, Derek Fisher entered a plea of no contest for his recent DUI.
That’s all for today, guys. Welcome to the official dog days of the offseason!
