Even if Michael Beasley ends up being terrible with the Knicks, we can certainly look forward to some incredibly good quotes.
As if calling himself a “walking bucket” back in August wasn’t enough, the forward supplied us with way, way more prime cuts of Beas. In his media availability Tuesday, he started off by saying some bland stuff about playing with Carmelo Anthony and about the Knicks being a potential 5th or 6th seed if he were to stay and not be traded. Blah, blah, blah.
This is ridiculous. No way the Knicks can...oh. Michael Beasley said it? WE'RE GOING TO THE 5TH SEED, BABY! https://t.co/QSeB68AJ1T

Michael Beasley says Melo is a mentor & he's looking forward to playing with Melo. Says management hasn't talked to him about a Melo trade

He then said some more stuff about having been brought in by Kurt Rambis, who coached him when Beasley was a member of the Timberwolves.
Michael Beasley says Knicks' associate coach Kurt Rambis 'had a lot to do' with him landing in New York. Rambis coached Beasley in Minnesota

Some stuff about defence:
More Beasley: 'I'm not as bad a defender as you say i am'

Then he started bringing the fire.
When asked if he had dropped a few pounds, he responded:
Michael Beasley asked if he lost weight. 'Yeah! Thanks for noticing!'

It only got better. He outlined his new diet which is apparently very close to being a vegan one. He apparently eats cheeseburgers a few times per month which isn’t very vegan but it’s OK! As a vegan myself, I can certainly appreciate this type of diet. Vegan cheese tofu burgers usually taste like shit.
He also eats way less candy which is good!

I’ll save the best for last here. He finished off by saying this:
Michael Beasley: "I’m your favorite player’s favorite player. It's not enough for me for him to know that. I want the world to know that."

Not exaaaactly sure what this means but I love it. I’d rather not know; it’s more fun that way. Please be this fun all year, Michael!
