The Knicks kicked off training camp on Tuesday, with some various light drills. Here’s some of the footage because you know you want it!

Here we see Frank Ntilikina tossing Joakim Noah a pocket pass. It was a little bit off-target, but it got there. Does Frank have the skills to be a true point guard? MY COLUMN:

In his post-practice interview, head coach Jeff Hornacek reiterated what we already know: Aside from Kristaps Porzingis and probably Tim Hardaway, nobody has any idea who is going to start. He did mention the prospect of Timmy occasionally playing together with Courtney Lee in a chic small-ball lineup.
“This league is a little bit different now. You don’t have the traditional 1, 2, 3, 4, 5s. You’ve got [centers] shooting 3s. You’ve got 6-4 guys playing the 3-spot sometimes. It gives us options. Both those guys [Hardaway and Lee] are great shooters. Guys that are active defensively, they can help us out, whether together or playing out there on the court at the same time or if we’re alternating.”
Phil Jackson must be spinning in his hammock right about now! As for the center position, Horny emphasized that the starting job is pretty much up for grabs. This should be a fascinating pre-season.
