We’ve been hearing some rumblings that the New York Knicks want to sign guard Trey Burke from their G League cousins in Westchester. Well Shams Charania just hit us with some updated knowledge:
Sources: The New York Knicks and Trey Burke of G League Westchester are in serious talks on a deal, with the guard expected to be held out of the showcase and an agreement as soon as the weekend.

Shams Bomb! The G League Showcase is happening this week in Ontario, with the W-Knicks playing on Wednesday and Friday. If this report is true, Burke may have played his last game for the Westchestrians.
Ironically, Burke had one of his worst games of the season on Sunday, scoring 14 points on 6-18 shooting. He did, however, post 5 assists and a team-high plus-12 in Westchester’s 95-92 win over the Austin Spurs.
Burke has been one of the best players in the G League this season, averaging 26.6 points on 48.8% shooting (41.6% from three), 5.4 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game. Here’s a nice little highlight package of just what exactly Burke has been bringing to the table this season.
What do you think, Knicks fans? Should Burke get the call-up? And who should get the ax?
