Wizards 110, Knicks 98: Scenes from a tumble down the mountain

All good things must come to an end

NBA: Preseason-Washington Wizards at New York Knicks Wendell Cruz-USA TODAY Sports

Well, there was the let-down (preseason) game that had to be coming at some point.

The Knicks were (pre-)undefeated heading into the fourth contest of the preseason against the Wizards, but a flat start, combined with some poo-poo defense, ticky-tacky fouls and missing players, led to the magic coming to an end in a 110-98 loss tonight.

But hey, it wasn’t all bad. Frank Ntilikina got his first start, and actually did pretty well with it! French Sinatra had 10 points (4-7 shooting), two assists and four boards. The only thing that held him back was foul trouble (five of ’em, but some were juuuust a little dubious).

Tim Hardaway Jr. also had a good game, with an efficient 18 points on 7-12 shooting.

And Allonzo Trier once again was on fire, pouring in 18 points of his own on an efficient 7-11 from the floor.

I don’t want to get into too much here because I’m recapping tonight, but be sure to check out KnicksFanTV’s Postgame Live in the meantime! CP and J. Ellis are breaking down tonight’s action and taking your calls live at 657-383-1509 on YouTube!

Recap coming in a bit. See you soon.
