On Saturday I reach the end of my thirties. What a decade. My twenties were mostly me trying to find a place in the world. My thirties were, too, only raising the degree of difficulty by balancing a family at the same time. As I near 40 I’m not sure I have anything anymore figured out than before, but spend enough time keeping enough things in the air all at once and eventually you’ll either gain the wisdom or exhaustion to realize which ones can drop and which ones are worth keeping going.
In my twenties most of my time spent talking Knicks was with myself. In my thirties I began to find other outlets: first a MySpace blog, then Facebook posts, then Posting & Toasting. We’ve been mailbagging for 15 months now, and I hope we’re still at it 15 years from now. You know the deal. What questions have been burrowing in your brain like roundball maggots, waiting to chew their way into the light? Xs and Os questions? Give. Trade proposals? Give. Storylines you’d like to discuss, whether actual or hypothetical? Give. Philosophical queries? Give. Silly stuff? Give. Knicks past? Knicks present? Knicks future? Give give give.
Share your thoughts in the comment section or our Twitter page. And let me take this moment to thank all of you involved with this site. You bring so much joy to my life. I don’t know many Knick fans where I’m living. The sense of belonging that comes with being able to follow these seasons with people who are equally invested means that, for me, even without the team having much success on the court, it’s never been more fun to follow the Knicks, thanks to y’all. Love and light.
