Troy Williams will be a Knick for 10 more days, at least. Williams signed a second contract with the ‘Bockers Saturday.
The athletic forward played one final game on his maiden 10-day contract Friday night, scoring a clutch (for his job prospects, anyway) 11 points in the Knicks’ 128-105 loss to the Clippers in Los Angeles. Williams, who had been 0-10 on three-pointers this season, hit all three triples he attempted. Marc Berman actually had a pretty sweet Knicks burn, and I salute him for it!
“The best compliment you can give [Williams] is he looked like a Clipper, and he got rewarded Saturday with a second 10-day contract after the first one expired.”
Williams also scored 14 points in the Knicks loss to the Boston Celtics. Observe the bounciness!
Williams played a few games this season for the Houston Rockets, but was released in February so the Western Conference leaders could sign Joe Johnson.
