Which one becomes an All-Star?

Yesterday, a Shams-bomb firework was dropped when all-knowing NBA guru Shams Charania notified the Twittersphere that Xavier Rathan-Mayes would be signing a 10-day contract with the Memphis Grizzlies. After going undrafted in the 2017 NBA draft, Xavier Rathan-Mayes suited up for 39 games with the Westchester Knicks and was good for 16 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds and 2 steals per game.

Well, Nigel Hayes didn’t like being left behind in Westchester and decided to drop 35 big ones that same day in a jealous fit of rage. Hayes went 5-for-11 from behind the arc, which is worthy of a brief break from my patronizing tone and perhaps even light applause.

The Toronto Raptors took notice and said, “You know what? We’ve made a stud out of Fred Van Vleet! Let’s give this Hayes fella a shot.” And thus...

Hayes has put up 16 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists per game in a hefty 36 minutes of burn per contest.

Considering the deep bench use of Toronto and the rubble that once resembled a playoff team in Memphis. both former Knicks could see some court time in the next couple of weeks with their respective new teams.

Do either of these two get a guaranteed contract in the future? Yell in all caps in the comments section!
