Magic 97, Knicks 73: Scenes from an offensive abomination

Wow that was gross.

NBA: Orlando Magic at New York Knicks Nicole Sweet-USA TODAY Sports

The New York Knicks got their asses handed to them in the fourth quarter Tuesday night, turning a otherwise competitive game against the Orlando Magic into a 87-73 defeat. Yes, that’s right...73 points. Against the Orlando freakin’ Magic. The Knicks scored 25 points in the first quarter and 48 points the rest of the game. Despite that offensive futility they actually held a lead in the third quarter. But the Magicians opened up a can of whoop-ass on New York with a 29-12 final frame.

This was a pathetic effort, even without the contributions of offensive stalwarts Enes Kanter (injured) and Michael Beasley (sick).

Frank Ntilikina shot a ghastly 1-8 from the field, though his one make was pretty dang sweet.

Don’t do it to ‘em @frank_ntilikina!!!

Kyle O’Quinn was probably the Knick of the Game, pitching in 13 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks. Here’s one of them!

All in all, pretty terrible to watch. Hopefully it helps them move up in the draft!

Recap to come.
