The Knicks’ Vegas Summer League schedule has been released

Five games and a big tourney!

NBA: New York Knicks at Miami Heat Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

Lack of basketball got you down? Well, perk up, compadre! After next week’s draft (next week already? Man, the NBA never stops), the newest 2018 draftee Knicks — and probably also Frank Ntilikina, Damyean Dotson, Luke Kornet, Isaiah Hicks and possibly others — will take the court for the first time together in the NBA Summer League.

The Knicks are back to Vegas this year (suck eggs, Phil Jackson!), where for the first time, all 30 teams will be competing. Exciting stuff! So who will the Knicks be playing? (Drumroll, please.) Check ch-check check check ch-check it out:

Just kidding, here’s the actual schedule, courtesy of NBA.com:

Saturday, July 7 - vs. Atlanta, 2:30 p.m., ESPN

Sunday, July 8 - vs. Utah, 6:00 p.m., NBA TV

Tuesday, July 10 - vs. LA Lakers, 5:30 p.m., ESPN2

Once those games are completed, the Knicks will compete in what will surely be the funnest basketball tournament this side of March Madness:

Each team will play a minimum of five games at MGM Resorts NBA Summer League, starting with three preliminary contests from July 6-10. The teams will then be seeded in the tournament, which starts on July 11 and concludes with the Championship Game on July 17.

So, there you have it! We’ll get to see the young Knicks for a minimum of five games (and hopefully more, let’s win a summer league championship!). Basketball in t-minus 25 days and counting. Get hype.
