Free agency is nearly upon us, and once again the New York Knicks are in the thick of a free agent decision. One player, heavily tied to the organization, has drawn the attention of the entire basketball world.
I’m referring, of course, to Enes Kanter.
The Turkish big man has until Friday to decide whether or not to opt in to the final year of his deal with the ‘Bockers. Ever one for drama, Kanter has promised to draw this out as long as possible.
I asked Enes Kanter if he has a timetable on when he will make the decision whether or not to opt out.

He says: “the last minute, the last day, the last second” with a smile.
In fact, Kanter has been building the opt out drama for months now through various Instagram posts.
Kanter’s decision could have a massive impact on the Knicks’ offseason plans. The final year of his deal is worth a whopping $18.6 million, and if he opts in, the Knicks will be up against the salary cap. As you can see, the fans have some strong opinions about that.

What can the MSG fans expect from Kanter next season if he opts in? Some offensive rebounds, terrible defense, and...maybe some threes???

So keep your LeBrons and Kawhis, good NBA franchises. We have a “Decision” of our own! Oh well...the Knicks are going to be bad next season anyway. Let’s enjoy the journey.
