Some random bro recently gained notoriety in these, the dead days of August by announcing to the world that he was offering up his Knicks fandom to the highest bidder. It was a desperate cry for attention made even more embarrassing by the fact that he was supposedly pushed over the edge when the Knicks passed up on Michael Porter Jr. and his potentially-functioning vertebrae to draft Kevin Knox.
REMINDER: Kevin Knox is this guy.
Normally that would be the end of it, but this story simply refuses to die. And, as is usually the case with these superficial LOLKnicks stories, the Knicks themselves are partly to blame for keeping it alive indefinitely.
Bleacher Report’s Yaron Weitzman got a quote from the organization on Furious Knicks Fandom Auction-gate, and it is a doozy:
Also in that story, a statement from Knicks on the eBay fan: "We're sure our millions of loyal Knicks fans won't mind losing this attention-grabbing gentleman. We remain focused on the upcoming season—with a hard-working team that is proud to represent NY & its dedicated fans."

Now this is the point in the story where I’m supposed to remind the reader of the Knicks’ downright Nixonian list of enemies, ranging from legendary forward/enforcer Charles Oakley to actor Ethan Hawke. So the Knicks are wrong again — just like always — right?
Not this time. Drag this clown, Knicks. Draaaaaaaaaaaaaag his ass. Normally I would support just about any Knicks slander you could toss out there, but this guy took a shot at my beautiful Kentucky boy, Kevin Knox. And this will not stand. This dude deserves to get dunked on from now until the end of time.
Now let’s get training camp started already. Go Knicks!
