Sorry folks, I’m not posting and .gifs or videos of “the incident.”
If you watched Wednesday’s game — a 114-90 trashing at the hands of the Dallas Mavericks — you know what I’m talking about. The ‘Bockers played a somewhat decent first half, though they still trailed Dallas by 8. Then the third quarter started, and our guys looked particularly listless. That is when David Fizdale gave in to the chants of the jabronis who now sit in the stands at MSG and inserted Enes Kanter into the game — Kanter’s first action after four games of DNP-CD.
Ever the showman, Kanter immediately went to half court and kissed the “Knicks” logo. A few seconds later, he got the ball in the post and shot an air-ball.
If you want to watch it, go ahead. Here’s a link.
Anyway, this might have been the worst second half of the season for the Knicks, which is really saying something. Dennis Smith Jr. got a triple-double, of course, so fans of Frank Ntilikina (who was still out with a groin injury) will never hear the end of it. Kevin Knox scored 17 points Mitchell Robinson had his moments, I guess.
What a disaster. Recap to come.
