Do you like booing? If so, you might want to head on over to Madison Square Garden on Thursday, Nov. 14, to catch the New York Knicks take on the Dallas Mavericks. Former franchise cornerstone Kristaps Porzingis returns to the Garden for the first time as an opponent. The fans will certainly let him have it.
Has this matchup lost a bit of its luster for Knicks fans since they miraculously knocked off the favored Mavs in Dallas last Friday? Perhaps. Does this lowly bunch have it in them to win two meaningful games in the span of a week? Probably not. But the fans who visit MSG this Thursday may get another chance to witness history. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski has reported that Knicks president Steve Mills has been laying the groundwork to fire head coach David Fizdale. Chants of “FIRE FIZDALE” have already been heard at the Garden. Mills will probably be looking for a scapegoat should the club embarrass themselves against Porzingis on national TV. Could Thursday be Fizdale’s final game as head coach?
