Celtics 113, Knicks 104: Scenes from 42 minutes of pretty good basketball

Let’s just forget the last six

Well, that was fun up until a point. And the point can be nailed down to an exact spot:

You do the math about what went down from that point on. I don’t really care enough to relive it.

I like to look at the positives, though, so how about this... Dennis Smith Jr. played 38 minutes and dropped a season-high 17 points on 6-11 shooting to go with seven assists!

Of course, DSJ was only playing 38 minutes because Frank Ntilikina strained his back early on and didn’t return... Damn it, back to negative.

OK but Kevin Knox returned after a DNP-CD last game and scored 11 points in 22 minutes in a surprise start for the injured Marcus Morris!

Of course, Knox’s 2018 draft contemporary Mitchell Robinson once again found a way to foul out in just 20 minutes... Back to negatives.

RJ Barrett had 16 points and seven rebounds though! ...but ended up shooting a paltry 4-13 after a hot start. Actually, no, shut up Pessimist Alex. Look at this finish!

OK but really, they should’ve just called it a game there and saved us all the trouble.

Anyway, I can’t bring myself to talk any more about this. It stings. MMiranda will trooper through a recap later.
