The dum Heat (37-38) come to the city to beat up the already lifeless Knicks (14-61). Miami is one game out of sixth place in the Eastern playoff race. Then there’s New York who has nothing to play for, shut down one of the only players worth keeping tabs on, and is going to run with the narrative that Emmanuel Mudiay has turned his career around as a result of the fine coaching David Fizdale has done.
There is nothing riding on New York’s output. They could win out the final seven games and still run the risk of being the worst team in the NBA when it’s all sad and dumb.
Projected Starters

The Heat will be missing Justise Winslow, Josh Richardson and Rodney McGruder for today’s game. Those injuries couldn’t come at a worse time for the team but the dead, wrapped in plastic, Knicks have washed up on their shores. I’m sure the Heat will let this body fester and stink as they push forward and hope to get back to full strength.
Allonzo Trier is out and Frank Ntilikina...
Key Matchup
Something tells me Mario Hezonja is going to dislike Kelly Olynyk the same way you or I do. Make it your mission to embarrass this palooka, Mario!
Prediction
The Knicks are just some record chasers. They don’t care about anything! Mudiay will go for the MSG scoring record and he will score 77 points. Then Marc Berman will laud his effort and not mention that he did in typical Knick fashion.
Knicks by -78.
