Summer League Notes, 7/3/19: RJ Barrett signs, Mitchell Robinson speaks

Mitch has a delightful Southern drawl.

The New York Knicks of Summer practiced on Day 2 of their Las Vegas excursion, but not before making sure to sign first-round pick RJ Barrett.

I hate Las Vegas signings — they never use the legendary tiny table. Can’t they ship that thing to Vegas? It probably fits in an overnight bag.

Anyway, now that Barrett is signed, it’s time to get down to the business of gettin’ buckets.

It’s nice to see that Allonzo Trier hasn’t lost his knack for throwing pretty good lobs, despite his reputation for not being much of a passer.

Here we witness the Canadian Connection between Barrett and Ignas Brazdeikis.

Smoother than maple syrup, those two are.

After practice, Mitchell Robinson discussed his ever-improving game. He’s hoping he can improve on the offensive end...and he’s hoping to finally get up some jump shots.

The basketball world probably isn’t ready for Mitch with a jumper.

Kevin Knox spoke at length about improving his game, but he also expressed his belief that he should have made an All-Rookie team last season.

We all wish you the best, Kevin, but maybe you shouldn’t express that opinion any more. Focus on the future!

Two more days until the Summer League opener. Can you taste it?
