Bucks 128, Knicks 102: Scenes from Headband Barrett again... that’s it

Pretend the rest didn’t happen

New York Knicks v Milwaukee Bucks

All 12 Knicks that dressed tonight played. You can basically forget about 10-and-a-half of them.

This game against the Bucks went basically the same as every other game against the Bucks this season so far. Milwaukee opened on a 18-4 run. The Knicks fought back and brought it within two at 23-21. Then Milwaukee swiftly stepped on the Knicks’ throats and ended the game, eventually winning 128-102.

Sounds awful, right? It was! But there was at least one-and-a-half bright spots.

The half was Julius Randle, who started off absolutely on fire and kept the Knicks in the game early, spurring that mini comeback in the first quarter.

Randle finished the game with 25 points, 15 rebounds and three assists on 10-20 shooting (3-6 from three). Not too shabby, though he significantly cooled after that scorching hot start.

The real starring attraction, however, was Headband RJ Barrett. Sporting a bright orange headband tonight, Rowan dropped 22 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Most importantly, he shot 5-7 from three and 5-6 from the line, two areas that are extremely important to RJ’s development.

In other news, Kevin Knox turned some garbage time minutes into his second straight good performance (10 points, 3-7 from the field). I’ll definitely take that. Bobby Portis somehow had an efficient 20 points off the bench. That’s basically it.

Recap coming later. Sorry this game sucked. Potential Suns revenge game at home on Thursday though!
