Celebrating the return of Mike Woodson and his all-blue practice fits

I made it pretty clear on this site during the spring and summer that I was not in favor of bringing back former Knicks head coach Mike Woodson. I will never forgive him for the piss-poor job he did in 2013-14, when he tanked the team’s last real chance at making the playoffs.

But I have to hand it to Woody: I loved seeing him in recent photos. Perhaps it had something to do with the resplendent all-blue fits he wore pretty much every day.

The Knicks’ social media department also picked up on this.

As did Woodson’s former player (and hopefully the godfather to my unborn daughter) Pablo Prigioni.

Look, I wouldn’t want the man as head coach, but he’s a great guy with a delightful goatee, and he remains eminently meme-able. The Knicks don’t figure to compete next season, so we might as well have as much fun as possible. And Mike Woodson can certainly contribute to that.
