The Knicks’ front office continues to seek out veteran basketball players to help out their young core, and they might be looking to pluck guys from the suddenly dysfunctional Indiana Pacers. There have been rumblings of discord in Indy, where head coach Nate McMillan was unexpectedly fired last week.
This could present an opportunity to reunite with an old friend. According to J. Michael of the Indianapolis Star, the Knicks are interested in shooting guard Justin Holiday.

-@JustHolla7 said he wanted to stay in Feb
-Reported since Pacers want him back but worried he could be out of their price range

Holiday responded to the initial report by denying that we was unhappy in Indy, but of course an impending free agent will say that. He signed a one-year $4.7 million deal with Indy last summer and put up decent numbers: 8.3 points on 42.8% shooting in 25.0 minutes per game. He was an excellent three-point shooter, hitting 40.5% on 4.5 attempts per game.
Holiday was an iron man with the Knicks in 2016-17, playing all 82 games. and putting together some quality performances off the bench. They certainly need shooting. Could this be a match made in heaven?
We’ll have more analysis on Justin Holday’s fit in the next day or two. Until then, let us know what you think.
