It was probably inevitable at this point, but on Tuesday we learned that Knicks forward Julius Randle was named the NBA’s Most Improved Player for the 2020-21 season.

Randle improved in pretty much every conceivable facet of his game this season as he transformed from a player Knicks fans couldn’t wait to be rid of to an All-Star and the best player on a postseason squad. The Knicks had a ton of contributors in 2020-21, but there’s no doubt they never would have gotten so far without Randle’s splendid metamorphosis.
How did the Knicks break the news to Julius? They utilized the help of his adorable son, Kyden. Be warned: the following video is so wholesome, it might just bring a tear to your eye.

Julius gave a heartfelt speech to his teammates after receiving the award from Kyden, stressing how much more he values team success over individual accomplishments.
“Most Improved is cool but let’s get some wins.”

Sounds good, Julius. Let’s get at least four more wins.
