The Tokyo Olympics are underway, and Team France kicked off the men’s basketball tournament by shocking Team USA, 83-76. Unfortunately for the Knicks fans and various other Frank-ophiles who woke up at 8 AM to see our hero, Frank Ntilikina sat out with a leg injury.

This has been a sad trend throughout his Knicks career—Frank getting hurt just when he gets an opportunity to shine on a bigger stage. The reports out of Tokyo are that he is day-to-day. He could perhaps even play when France takes on the Czech Republic on Wednesday at 8 PM EST. The Czechs knocked Frank’s BFF RJ Barrett out of the Olympic Qualifying Tournament, so this is a revenge game!

Luca Vildoza did play in Team Argentina’s Olympic opener, but he and his mates were thoroughly trounced by Luka Doncic and Slovenia, 118-100. Our Luka had a decent offensive showing, with 11 points on 3-8 shooting, 5 assists (0 turnovers), 3 rebounds and 3 steals. The other Luka, was the star of the show, with 48 points.

There aren’t many highlights from the game, but here’s a taste of Luca craftiness.

The Argentines will look to bounce back on Thursday 7 PM EST as they take on dreaded Spain.
