The NBA’s 2021-22 schedule is starting to leak, beginning with the Christmas Day slate of games. The Knicks were conspicuously absent from the Christmas schedule of late, but now that they are fresh off a surprise playoff appearance, we all knew that was bound to change.
And so it has! The Knicks are back on Christmas! Their opponent: the very same team that knocked them out of the playoffs last season.

The Hawks, eh? That’s a hot ticket! You probably don’t need to be reminded what Atlanta did to the Knicks in the playoffs. The MSG crowd should be in fine form for this matchup. But don’t take my word for it; just ask this guy!

The Hawks remain mostly unchanged from the team that knocked New York out of the playoffs. The Knicks upgraded their offense, which was putrid in the playoffs, by adding Evan Fournier and Kemba Walker. We had some fun watching the Knicks’ rookies take down Atlanta’s Summer League team Monday night, but it’s doubtful those rooks will get much (id any) playing time, barring injuries.
So what do you say, Knicks fans? Are y’all ready for the rematch? Are you pissed that your Christmas celebration will be interrupted? Let me know in the comments.
