Boring Monday? I’ve got just the news you’ve been waiting for: The New York Knicks announced their preseason schedule today.

Four games, pretty standard. Two against the Wizards seems to just be the yearly tradition at this point. These are also four teams that the Knicks should be better than, on paper, so getting ahead while the starters are playing should be at least a somewhat decent indicator of how well this team stacks up against some of the better teams in the East going into the season.
Of course, our buddy Marc Berman found the angle to these preseason games:
Knicks will open preseason schedule at home vs. Indiana Oct. 5 vs. Chris Duarte - the guys they really wanted.

They’re also facing Cade Cunningham: the guy they REALLY wanted. And Corey Kispert: another guy they probably REALLY wanted. Y’know, since they were players drafted before the Knicks could’ve picked at 19 in the draft. That’s how this stuff works!
Anyway, preseason basketball. Who’s excited to see RJ Barrett play 43 minutes in one of these games to try to get that W?
